Justice Mohammed Idris, in the lead judgment, held that the suit by actress Regina Daniels’ husband, Ned Nwoko, was statute barred and that Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja ought not to have heard the case and gave the judgment he gave in favor of Nwoko. Kashim Shettima’s chef, John Achagwa committes Suicide in Government House Dailynaijamode Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima’s chef, John Achagwa,  yesterday committed suicide inside the Government House, Maiduguri. Achagwa was seen hanging lifeless on a tree inside the Government House. Some of his colleagues told journalists that he had maintained unusual quietness when he resumed for work on Monday. “He didn’t utter a word since morning. He just kept to himself. We were together till about 2pm until he suddenly disappeared,” one of them said. Men of the State Fire Service and security personnel at the Government House were immediately mobilised to the scene to bring down the victim from the tree. Man Bags Three Years for N2m Fraud – EFCC Dailynaijamode The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Gombe Zonal Office has secured the conviction of one Paschal Omorodion before Justice Muhammad Sambo of a Bauchi State High Court on a one-count charge bordering on theft. The EFCC had received a petition from one Ahmed Babankaratu dated November 9, 2018 alleging that N2 million was fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account. EFCC busts Yahoo Yahoo training school, arrests proprietor and students Dailynaijamode Chinedu, 22, was arrested alongside eight students of the unnamed training centre located at 14, Animashaun Street, Progressive Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, while receiving lectures in internet fraud activities. The students are: Ahmed Musa, 24; Desmond Eze, 29; Preye Kingsley, 23; Benjamin Irabor, 21; Benjamin Opah, 19; Akapo Prosper, 22; Innocent Paul, 20 and Olamide Edun, 20. The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested under cover on May 22, 2019, following intelligence reports received by the Commission about their involvement in alleged criminal activities. Items recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest include nine laptops, 16 mobile phones, an Airtel modem, Orange Wifi and one Toyota Camry with registration number EPE406FN.
