Don’t mobilise unqualified graduates, NYSC tells institutions

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, yesterday warned that the scheme would blacklist any corps producing Institution involved in fraudulent mobilisation of unqualified graduates. He assured that the scheme would do its best to ensure a hitch-free mobilisation process during the 2019 Batch B mobilisation exercise.

Speaking yesterday in Abuja during the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Pre-Mobilisation Workshop themed “Achieving Greater Efficiency in the NYSC Mobilisation Process: The Role of Stakeholders”, yesterday in Abuja, he said the scheme was technology-driven hence the mobilisation process which was already ICT-driven would be sustained to the next level. He stated: “For places where we have security challenges, corps members are not posted to those areas. I have five-point agenda which I have ruled out during the handing over process’
