CAF President Ahmad Ahmad arrested over corruption charges In France

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ahmad Ahmad, was arrested on Thursday morning in a Paris hotel by French police.

He was picked up after attending the FIFA Congress, which resulted in the re-election of President Gianni Infantino.

According to media report the CAF president Ahmad’s arrest is linked to the contract unilaterally broken by CAF .

A twitter post by Ghanaian Sport Journalist,@garyalsmith says, “CAF President Ahmad arrested on Thursday morning around 8:30 am at the Berri Hotel in Paris, according to several media reports.

“Arrest based on issues relating to contractual matters with a Puma deal that was unilaterally abrogated in favour of another company” he added.

Meanwhile, the CAF Boss has consistently denied any wrong doing and maintained his innocence.
